About

My primary research interests are at the intersection of critical social theory and phenomenology. I am particularly interested in understanding how hermeneutic phenomenology and critical social theory challenge social psychological conceptualizations of social reality. In my research and teaching I focus on a wide range of topics including environmentalism, gender, economics, globalization, cultural diversity, qualitative research methods, social justice, and cognitive science.

I am currently in the process of organizing an international conference on Marxism and Psychology at the University of Prince Edward Island from August 5-7, 2010. For more information, please visit the Marxism and Psychology Research Group (MPRG) website: http://vre.upei.ca/mprg/
